Beginning Band
Welcome 6th graders!
Welcome to your first year of beginning band! I'm so happy you are able to join us for the next year. Below you'll find your specific instrument, along with the required items to fully and successfully participate in band class!
To your right, there is a powerpoint of what was covered at the beginning band meeting on 8/22/23. Please look over it and refer any questions you have to the contact tab!
If you also check the very bottom of this page, you will find a picture with recommended (strongly recommended) instrument brands! It's important to be set up from the get go successfully!
FLUTE
Flute Cleaning Rod and cloth- This is to ensure that the instrument is kept in top shape and to extend the life of the pads (getting pads replaced costs upward of $200 each time.)

PERCUSSION
EVANS "REEL FEEL" - This is the required brand and specific drum pad. No others are accepted.
Vic Firth SD-1 Generals Snare Drum Sticks. These are required for every percussionist to have. No other stick model is accepted.
